If you want to catch up to the 500+ Aussie NMTs who already have done the diagnostic CT course, please register early using the correct form in the attached. If you want to get ahead of the game with pharmacology and meet the minimum standards for new graduates (and that which AHPRA require), register for that course too. And bring your radiography colleagues along!
Or just get in early for the main program.
Saturday night social will be a harbour cruise.
In keeping with the great feedback from past delegates. Each day will start with a state-of-the-art plenary session for all. After this, Saturday we will break into 4 streams with a focus on scope of practice (nuclear medicine, radiography, pharmacology and CT licencing). Sunday after the plenary we will break into 4 streams for advanced practice (ECG performance/interpretation, radiography interpretation, nuclear medicine interpretation and CT licencing).
Now in our 16th year! The RAINS/CSU Symposium has proven to be an excellent forum for delegates to update their skills and enjoy time with colleagues.
Here it is folks. 14th annual RAINS weekend symposium. 4/5 November in Port Macquarie. Great speakers. Thanks to our sponsors. Two pick up times (6pm and 730pm) for the Friday night river cruise and no doubt catch up on shore with those arriving after that. Dinner Saturday night preceeded by what we hope is boutique beer and wine tasting. Extraordinary value for money and a great CPD opportunity. Please register for the main program but if you or your colleagues want to do the diagnostic CT course we are running concurrently, it is not too late and the registration form for that is also included in the attached. Register early so you can roll into this years tax return! Please circulate widely among your colleagues.

Image Guided Therapy & Theranostics
This year, our theme concentrates on the emerging field of image guided therapy and theranostics. It will be a stimulating program and not to be missed. Our RAINS conference, now in its 13th year, offers delegates the opportunity to learn and update themselves about this new frontier of nuclear medicine whilst enjoying the relaxing, bucolic environment that is Wagga Wagga.
Confirmed speakers are:

To date, over 300 practitioners have undertaken the RAINS/CSU CT certification course, which is nationally accredited. This is a great achievement for an association that is operated by busy professionals who volunteer their time for the benefit of nuclear medicine throughout Australia and New Zealand. The programs are run on a non-for-profit basis and the feedback from participants has always been very positive. We receive constant requests from members about the next accredited course and we will be happy to organise this once a sufficient number of prospective attendees have enrolled.

We will still have our usual RAINS conference in November so we hope to see you all then.
As previously announced, in 2015 RAINS will run a CT certification course. This program is already approved in NSW by the EPA for an IA16D licence to perform diagnostic CT (not limited to hybrid systems). Applications are pending in other states. There will be a limit of 200 places. The certification program is a fraction of the course of the same courses offered elsewhere. It does require some pre-reading before the 2 day workshop and passing multiple choice exams. There is also a non credentialled parallel program for those that do not require the licence.
The early bird discount option is now closed.
The RAINS committee is pleased to launch our new website which we hope will benefit the membership. Enriched with new functionality designed to streamline communication and our knowledge base, the new website will be promoted at this years conference in Sydney.
As a curtain raiser to the ANZSNM conference in Adelaide all members are welcome to join us at the President’s dinner.
